Later that year, on 6 September 2008, Winehouse appeared as Bestival's Saturday headliner, according to a WikiTree biography of the singer.
That September also brought a legal complication: Winehouse faced an assault charge over an allegation that she had struck a fan in the eye after the woman asked to take her picture, a case reported by Fox News.
The charge did not stick. Fox News notes that on 24 July 2009, Winehouse was acquitted of the assault allegation stemming from the September 2008 incident.
