Miley Cyrus arrived at the 81st Annual Academy Awards on 22 February 2009, stepping onto the red carpet at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood in a silver Zuhair Murad gown. She paired the dress with a Mary Norton clutch, Neil Lane jewels and BCBG shoes.
The then-16-year-old Hannah Montana star was at the ceremony because her animated film Bolt had earned a nomination for Best Animated Feature. The show itself began at 5:30 p.m. PST and was hosted by Hugh Jackman.
Cyrus's red carpet appearance came ahead of a night that also featured performances from Anne Hathaway, Beyoncé, Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens, and Amanda Seyfried and Dominic Cooper.
