David Beckham coached local children at Marvin Lee Stadium in Macoya, Trinidad and Tobago, on 26 September 2010. During the session he also spoke with FIFA vice-president and CONCACAF president Jack Warner.
The training day launched a six-day football festival organised with the Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation. The David Beckham Academy programme combined football coaching with life-skills sessions for young players and workshops for local coaches.
Beckham was playing for LA Galaxy at the time. The archive portrait places him at the stadium during the practical coaching work that opened the festival.
